The Location - We are a close knit family of producers, artists, engineers, musicians, and writers. Hampstead is known for its intellectual, musical, and literary associations across the world. Local attractions include the Freud Museum, Hampstead Heath, Keats House, and Kenwood House. Coffee fans - the OG Gail’s is a 5 minute walk away. The Studio Space - RHS is a music studio in the heart of north London in Hampstead. Surrounded by local cafes, pubs, and shopping, the studio is nestled in a comfortable and creative atmosphere. Situated across from the world famous AIR Studios (founded by Sir George Martin in 1965), RHS employs artists, technicians, and producers from around the world, many of whom were educated at the world’s most famous studio, Abbey Road Studios.
The studio is an intimate, creative, and elegant space, equipped with everything from state of the art digital gear to one of a kind analogue treasures that can create and easily satisfy any sonic desires. Welcome to RHS.
The Process - Our process is unique because we focus on songwriting. We combine concentrated in-person writing and brainstorming sessions with the latest digital collaboration tools to cultivate a dynamic and inclusive creative environment.
Creating the best music involves a deep understanding of emotion, a strong sense of storytelling, and the ability to connect with listeners on a profound level through melody and lyrics. This is what we capture before recording.
Meet the Team
David Leondi
Owner/Producer/Engineer
From playing US national tours to film scoring to recording and engineering at Abbey Road Studios, multi instrumentalist and producer/artist Dave Leondi has an extensive musical upbringing. His experience as both an artist and producer on both sides of the glass translates through his work and helps bring artists’ full vision to life.
Louis Upton-Wheeler
Assistant Producer/Engineer
Louis was introduced to music through classical composition and performance, however, his main love and interest is in English punk and rock music. His abilities as a songwriter and producer have been developed through his studies at Abbey Road Institute, and he now performs regularly around London as a session bass player, as well as fronting his own band.
